Planet Acts: Waste and Recycling
Waste is unwanted or unusable material. Waste is any substance that is discarded after primary use or is worthless, defective, and of no use. Waste avoidance covers all measures by which production and consumption happen in a way that they generate less or no waste, or they generate only those wastes that can be treated without causing problems. Recycling can prevent the waste of potentially useful materials and reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, thereby reducing: energy usage, air pollution, and water pollution. All acts that help avoid or reduce waste or improve the recycling of materials are linked to this sub-category.
