Finnish Paralympic Committee – Paralympic Fund
The Paralympic Fund (Paralympiarahasto in Finnish) provides the foundation for promoting sports for persons with disabilities and special needs, and for promoting and developing equality in Finnish sport culture.
Organizing national fundraising to improve opportunities for people with disabilities to be active and participate in sports increases equality in the society.
By selecting a dual focus of supporting individual para-athletes and sports clubs enables flexibility and situation-appropriate solutions.
The new Paralympic Fund is a magnificent opportunity to support and benefit the disability and parasport community. The beneficiaries of the fund are persons with disabilities and special needs and the donations benefit the disability and parasport family widely from grass-roots and active lifestyle towards competitive sport. Paralympic Fund is a long-term fund that will accumulate over time and provide means to enable support and development of equal disability and parasport culture.
All donations are handled with respect, transparency and responsibly. The aim for the Paralympic Fund is to lay a foundation for the development of equal opportunities and rights in sports for persons with disabilities and special needs.
The base for The Paralympic Fund is 200.000 euros from the Finnish Paralympic Committee. In 2021 the donations for promoting sports for persons with disabilities and special needs were 35.000 euros.
